Blog Post Post Assessment

My favorite restaurant consists of spanish and american food, located in West New York and is named Mundo Latino. The dishes that are served in Mundo Latino is a variety of spanish and american foods, mostly food for dinner such as: Steak, fish, and pork. One of the many dishes that has been one of my favorites is the skirt steak.

Mundo Latino is my favorite restaurant because ever since I was about the age of five, I used to go there for dinner. So my history with Mundo Latino goes back, along with certain employees. Most of my memories of the restaurant are good, yet there are some that I am not fond of. Though, it's also my favorite because the way the make their skirt steak can't be matched to any other so far.

If this restaurant closed down I would most likely switch over to Bazzarelli's.
I say this because it's close by and I don't have to drive a few miles for dinner. As well as it having a take out just for pizza. Lastly, not only is it specialized for pizza but they also have a bar, take out for pizza, but it's also a restaurant.

Discussion Questions

Why did you select the sites you subscribed to? I chose these sites to subscribe to because they give me new topics to talk about in conversations and I could look at my Digg Reader for information. Was it easy to find feeds and to subscribe to them? It was pretty easy to find the feeds, all I really had to do was search for the RSS Feed icon. Which sites were your favorite? My favorite site is Engadget because it shows me what latest technology came out and how people use it for different purposes. What else can you use RSS feeds for? You can use RSS feeds to get caught up in information, follow your favorite sites, and learn about a given area. How likely are you to continue to use RSS feeds in the future? I will most likely still use it for for information about new technology and discuss further about it with others.

Do Now 12/2

A class I would add to our curriculum if I were a teacher would be a hand-eye co-ordination class for typing. This class would be placed after a student was finished with their own algebra class. The students would practice their typing skills and speed according to what the see on the screen and race against a timer. The fastest would be treated to a slice of pizza and rest of the period off if they choose to.

10/27 Do Now

What a presentation means to me is that I can show others what I am interested in while showing them new information about it. How to engage in a presentation is to start off with a question, or make eye contact with the audience. Also, to bring in a positive attitude such as being happy to the the presentation to attract or wake up the audience.

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Posting Sem 2_Pre

So far, in Mr. Olsen's Algebra 1 class, we have been breezing through last year's math work like nothing. The first time I sat down I didn't know what we would learn, start off with, or even see what work would be held for homework. All I knew was to try my hardest and keep my grade up because I don't know what is coming up next. Up to now, what we have learned is the Properties, such as: Commutative Property, Associative Property, etc.

An interesting part of Algebra 1 is his Do Now timer, I say this because his alarm for it is "Thunderstuck" by ACDC. As far as technology goes, the only technology that is used is his own laptop and a projector to show us math equations and a Powerpoint. After each week, a new syllabus is provided by him in class, and even if you're absent there is always a copy on his website for his syllabus.

Up to now, his class has been great. Very easy, and very easy understand, everything you need to learn is in a single packet. Even your homework is on the back so it is not very hard to lose it, so no excuses to why you have lost it or how. Yet, his class is in the morning portion of school, getting lost or side tracked during his class is very common if you haven't had much sleep.
